Organization.
The Seventh-day Adventist Church is a Christian church rooted in the Bible and centered on Jesus Christ. We believe that God meets people in everyday life and speaks through Scripture, guiding our faith and how we live.
We share a message of hope, looking forward to the return of Jesus and the restoration God has promised. We believe that faith is a personal decision and that each person is invited to grow in a living relationship with God.
Leadership

Paul Mumbere
President
Pastor Paul Mumbere currently serves as the President of Rwenzori Field of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, a position he has held since his election in November 2022.
Born in Kampala, Uganda, Pastor Mumbere is the son of Pastor B. T. Bageni, who faithfully served the Seventh-day Adventist Church in various pastoral and leadership roles across Uganda and Kenya.
His educational journey began at Spicer Memorial College (now Spicer University, India), where he earned a post-secondary education certificate. He later obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Andrews University in 1989. Driven by a call to ministry, he pursued a Bachelor of Theology at Bugema University, followed by a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution.
Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, Pastor Mumbere served for 18 years as an Internal Auditor with Uganda’s Ministry of Works and Transport. He later answered God’s call to pastoral ministry and served as pastor of Walukuba SDA Church, Jinja Town SDA Church, and Jinja Central SDA Church. He also served as the District Leader for the Jinja SDA Church District.
His leadership experience continued to expand when he was elected Director of Chaplaincy at the Uganda Union Mission, where he served until November 2022. In 2021, he became the first pastor in the history of the Uganda Union to receive Ecclesiastical Endorsement from the General Conference Adventist Chaplaincy Institute, a significant milestone in Adventist chaplaincy ministry.
Following his election as President of Rwenzori Field, Pastor Paul Mumbere has continued to provide spiritual leadership, administrative oversight, and strategic direction for the church’s mission throughout the field.
